Coyote hunting in NY

I found this link for a petition to extend the coyote hunting season. In my neck of the woods we are overrun with yotes, I personaly would love to see the season run all year. there is little data that supports a reduced coyote population from seasons open all year long, and the pelts are worth nothing in the summer... So why bother it won't make much of a difference

Maybe so, but it is more fun than shooting woodchucks. I like hunting coyotes but it's aweful cold up here in January.
