Default Pa bow season Day 1

Day 1 in 2B was a great time to be in the woods. Saw a dozen deer on the road on the way to the hunt. Had a doe and fawn come by at about 35 yards and 35 mph around 8 and then had adecent 2 year old8 pointer bed down for an hour 12 yards away from 9 to 10.

Man, I love this time of year!

Day one in 5C/5D was a good one.. I am right on the border of both WMUs.. The dividing line is basically the bottom of my street. I got a doe at 7am.. It was the 9th doe of the day i saw.. Fast forward later.. We had 4 nice bucks cruising the area. Sparring, rubbing trees, chasing each other around. When we were leaving the woods we encounted 5 doe.. My buddy nailed it at 25 yards.. 2 deer down on opening day.. In total yesterday I saw 4 bucks and 19 doe.

What town do you live in? I live right near the 5C/5D border also. I didnt get anything opening day. I use the early doe season more as a scouting trip for buck season. I only made it out Sat evening and saw about 6 doe and 3 bucks.

Will get my chance on Sat. Get to see if my decision to move pays off. I've been having wind issues at one of my favorite stands, and decided to move along the same trail, to a spot with more consistent wind. There are several nice bucks using that trail in the morning, and one is definitely the same deer I saw each of the last two years. Good luck to everyone headed out nextSaturday for the regular opener as well.
