I pheasant hunted there a long long time ago, pretty area, be careful , that is where Camp David is located, the SS will be all over you if you get too close....
Only parts of the mountain are public land. Check the regs. Its like a pumpkin patch during gun season. Small mountain deer. I would not pay out of state fees to hunt it unless its your only option. Just my observations and opinion.
on the sat morning before the Pa. opener each year,,i drive from Va. to pa. and always schedule my trip to hit the cat.mtn. area around 9:00am just to see what kinda bucks are comin outta there,,i've seen some pretty impressive bucks being loaded up there on the side road where everyone parks,,i've always wanted to give that area a shot
