Default RE: Snows gone findin any?

My friend and I went looking last week in MD. We didn' t find any sheds, but did find one dead buck that had already shed his horns. It didn' t appear that he starved to death, but we couldn' t tell why he' d died. He was too far from any roads to be a victim of a roadhunter or hit by a car.

Shed,
The part of Md I was looking in was Washington County, accross the river from Harpers Ferry, WV. The deer herd seems to be doing ok. My father said he had over 20 at his feeder 2 nights in a row. I' m sure a few died. Probably younger, smaller deer and ones with injuries or gunshots, but I think the healthy deer made it ok.

My nephew was up the mountains last week and found a dead yearling right next to the road. The road did not have any tire tracks in it yet....

We found a 6 inch spike shed on Sunday in Lycoming County, PA. Still a bunch of snow in the heavily wooded areas. We did find the skull of a big spike buck though. Must have been dead over a year. We will go out again next week.
