Well guys, I got a reply from Scott, and, here is what the e-mail said.....

Hey Jason,
I will try to get all your answers here, but please understand that it is difficult to keep up with what they have or haven"t scheduled yet.
It is David"s goal to get some hunts filmed in several key states that he and others feel like have been left out of our productions. PA is one of them. The others are MI, OH, NY, ME, etc. We want to get into the northeast and make sure we cover a lot of areas. When is the key. Some of their schedules are made one, sometimes two years in advance and they change on a weekly basis due to a lot of factors.
I got David in touch with the folks at Hally Caller and I know that they have been trying to work out schedules for turkey and deer in NY and PA. I have not talked with him lately about this because of his and my schedules. David usually has a fall schedule nailed down by July and I usually try to post them on the site.
As far as the hunts on public land. We have always had a problem with this because of the liability and the amount of time and money it takes to cover these. It is my understanding that Michael is going to try and do this as much as possible for his new show, but again, I have not gotten any updates. They have hunted elk and mulies on public lands out west for years based on getting tags drawn. The reason I mention liability is because on public land there other hunters and a greater chance of accidents. If one was to happen, you run the chance of losing a company. We realize that this is something hunters face everyday, but when you are trying hard to get footage to produce 13 TV Shows and 3 or 4 videos it is tough.
As far as fenced ranches being hunted. Over the past 6 to 8 years, they might have hunted 2 or 3 out of a total of 40-50 hunts. And we are talking 10, 20, 30,000 acres. There have been many times they have been skunked too. This is changing also. This past season, they (Bill and Tyler) only hunted one (Tecomate). And it is no longer high fenced. This coming year, it will have no fence. Every other location was not fenced and they had arguably their best season ever.
I see many boards and I wished I could go in and counter some of the posts that criticize the guys on where and how they hunt. But the edited shows just don"t show the whole story. An example of this happened this past season. David B. hunted Alberta, CA this past season. He was booked for 4 days. The weather was horrible and he was held over for 3 more and needed them. Here is how the hunt went for him and the cameraman. 7 days in the stand. 11 hours in the stand each day. The highest temp. for those 7 days was 15-20 degrees. David finally took a buck with 30 minutes of daylight to go on the 7th day. These type hunts happen to them every season and usually several times. David wants to begin showing this on the shows.
The guys begin big game hunting in late August and continues through the end of January for an average of 20 weeks on the road (They are home literally two or three weeks during this period which is a great sacrifice when you consider family and other responsibilities). Of the 140 days in the field, roughly 75% of these are spent scouting and setting up stands. It is true that at some locations guides are an important part of this, but the staff is adamant about working extremely hard in the field and finding the biggest and best bucks available in that area. A large percentage of the deer are taken with bows which adds to
the difficulty.
I wish I had some more specific answers on some of your questions concerning hunting PA, but it"s just a little too early. I am sure David will have something for me later this year on the schedule. And when he does, I will get it online.
I have found that no matter how many times I try to explain what all goes on with them during the season and what it takes to produce the shows and videos, there will still be folks that think they are just thrown in a stand, shoot and fly home.
Me and several others here in the office are hunters just like many. We hunt public land and haven"t killed a Monster. And to be honest, if someone told me today that I would be able to join the gang on the road next year and hunt their schedule, I would not hesitate to tell them "no thank you." Would I love to go out to Montana and take a big one? Sure. But, there is no way I could hunt like that for 5 months out of the year for 2 or 3 big deer.
I appreciate the emails and questions. Have a great week and I hope to hear from you again real soon.

I don' t know, but, I respect these guys. I have had e-mails from Michael Waddell and Bill Jordan, and they are stand up guys. The company cares what you, the viewer, thinks, and, they appreciate all feedback and constructive criticism that you give them.
If you have some questions, e-mail them, they will get back to you and answer what you want to know.

BM, thanks for the update. Hunting that many days out of the year would be rough, especially if the elements give you a beating. On the other hand, their job is to hunt, so I can' t feel too bad for them. As far as respect, anyone that doesn' t respect them as hunters or businessmen is foolish. They have a strong commitment to the sport and their business. The problem is as a business they cater to other big businesses (hunting leases, gear partners, guide services, etc.) and it is the little guy (you and I) that ultimately pay for their business practices and their hunting. I am not trying to say they are bad guys or even that they are doing anything wrong, because I would trade places with them in a second. It' s not sour grapes, and yes I do envy them, and not so much that I dislike or wish bad things on them. I just wish they would do more to help the little guy. Keep us posted because I would like to know more about their hunts in the northeast and what their plans are.
SO they are not going to hunt public lands. But yup I have a lot of there videos and like them but never thought that they hunt true public lands. Keep us posted as I would love to watch.
I' m sure these guys get a hard hunt once in a blue moon. Lets face it they are hunting whitetail deer. As far as them scouting, I' m not buying that one. How hard is it to go into a deer hunters paradise and find deer!!!!!!!!! Have you ever heard of the Maraposa ranch in texas? For a few thousand bucks you are guaranteed to see 10 P/Y bucks a day. There are place like this all over the united states. Do you honestly think if bill jordan is hunting one of these places he will have a problem taking a book deer???????? Come on guys dont be so naive!!!!!!!!
