Default New Hunter

Hey Guys,
I'm new to the forums after spending hours reading I decided I needed to join to gain some feedback. I'm 19 and live in Northeast New Jersey, about 30 minutes west of New York City. I've never hunted before but I'm really captivated by bow hunting. I'll be a junior at West Virginia University in the fall and I hope to try my hand at hunting with some local friends in the fall. If you guys had any tips for getting started and public hunting land in the area I'd really appreciate the knowledge.
Thanks for your time and help.

Welcome to the obsession that is deer hutning!!

Not much help in WV, but I am pretty sure the public lands are listed on the web site.

I would hope your local friends could help??

visit a local pro shop and shoot some bows , talk to the people there , they can help much more than anyone here can unless someone from the same area is here but most important PRACTICE
