Default Masschusetts 2008 Turkey

Anyone been having luck? Weather has been crappy.
I was lucky enough to tag out and take a tom Monday & Tues. Looking foward to getting over to NY & down to CT now.

Congrats WMH. I don't Turkey hunt anymore, but the bird #'s seem down in my deer areas. Same for you??

Actually, this year it seems we are seeing many more birds in fields and while traveling. More than normal. I do not know how the harvest #s are going since Tuesday... but it seems they are around.

Why don't you turkey hunt anymore?

Well thats good news on the numbers.

I did a few years of Turkeys. Its fun and challenging.But they don't taste as good as deer for me :-)

I went to the Birch Hill WMA in Royalston MA yesterday...heard some gobbling but no luck seeing them.

no not really it seems like everytime i go out im surounded by hens but no sighn of toms anywhere its weird
