Default 2B going shotgun/Muzz only?

I forget if it was on this site or another forum that i read something about 2B will be shotgunslug or muzzleloader only this coming deer season. Can anyone varify this? i check on the PGC site and could find nothing....thanks

Oh and if that did happen , im guessing you couldnt hunt varmints with .22-250s and other smaller caliber center fires?

WMU 5C was also supposed to go to ML and shotgun only, but the PGC received a lot of opposition so the BOC didn't vote on the issue at the March meeting and choose to delay any action on the issue..

They tabled the issue and it seems dead for now. Independent studies showed shotguns with slugs to be no safer so it became nothing more than a "feel good" political issue driven primarily by one state representative in the east who simply will not let the Casey Burns incident be forgotten.

Yeah I mave mixed feeling about that. A shotgun with rifled barrel and slugs is just a rifle! The only difference is the muzzle velocity is smaller and the slug won't travel as far.

The study determined that the heavier and slower slugs tended to ricochet more often where the smaller and faster bullets would tend to fragment. Therefore they determined that one was no safer of more dangerous then the other statistically.

Thanks alot guys, yea my arguement is with the muzzleloaders, today with the loads you jam down the barrels of especially the inlines , are not any safer then using a rifle. For one i know that my T/C Encore is just as effective as my .270 so i didnt really see the difference.
