Is around now a good time to go out?

same here, once the snow melts it should getbe prime time. the last bucks i saw were on valetines day

While I can not speak about NY, here in Maine with all the snow the deer are yarded up and have it tough enough without me going in looking for any right now.. Come this spring after the snow leaves I might be giving it a shot. For now though I will let the deer be and hope they get by the rest of the winter. With does developing lambs they are going to be having an even harder time if the snow doesn't start leaving here soon. The end of March and April will be the roughest months for the does and I wish them well to help keep the deer herd up here strong.

Where I am, up until now, we have had an open winter for the most part. Deer have been moving where they want when they want.

I been out a few times .
Had my camera out all winter .
Only got does and fawns on pics as far as I can tell since December .
Havent found any sheds yet ..Northern NY.....

I was out a couple of weeks ago down here in Dutchess county, but I haven't come across any yet.
