Default Hows this for a PA buck.

One of the guys I hunt with shot this on the final day of the PA rifle season. We were doing a push and this big guy ran out and stopped and gave the guy a broadside shot at 40yards and the rest is history. 12pt 21 3/8" inside spread both brows are split. Truly the buck of a lifetime. I was about 100yards away I was one of the drivers when he shot the buck it let out a sound like nothing i've ever heard before it was a grunt/growl/snortwheeze/cough all in one. Deffinately the oddest thing i've ever heard in the woods. Not bad for a last day buck.

Shot of the buck from the rear really shows the mass and the split brows.

taped him out at 152 3/8. The best buck ive seen personaly harvested around here. The only depressing part about it is he was harvested on 3893 private acres and he was only a 3.5yr old deer. I just got in on the deal this year and its looking like a awesome place for the future. Theres trail cam pics of 21 different shooter bucks and not a one of them was harvested this year.3 bucks wereharvested the smallest being a 119" 8pt.The idea of a shooter buck outis as wideas his earsits a start. Next archery season is looking good especially since its just me my father and 2 other guys who bowhunt so i'm excited. Does are number 1 on the list though for this coming year. No one out there will harvest any and i saw 43 does on the last saturday i saw over 80 does out there in 3 days of hunting it. I found a honey hole in a land of coal around here.

I'm surprised at the score. Main beams don't look longer than 22-23 inches, Circ. measurments, other than base barely 4 in., longest tine 9in or less. Nice width though & beautiful buck!! Should net high 120- mid 130.
