Default NY deer, capital region question

I know a few areas that seem to have agood amount ofdeer, these are in the eastern side of the Capital region. I want to hunt there, but fear the crowds during gun season. However, I see allot of posts onlinesaying the hutners #'s are way down in NY. Now..I don't expect to be the only guy in the woods of course, just want an area to hunt without seeing orange everywhere.

Are you NY guys seeing less hunters during gun season?? Should I even bother?? Any input is appreciated...

i only saw 9 deer TOTAL this year there.

i bow hunt it during gun season , too, never saw a horn.
