Default Changing the woods for food plots.

I have decided to start a food plot this comming year. and i thought what a great question to see what my fellow hunters opinions are. here is the questions our season in wv is over the 31st so would it be to soon to start clearing off the small lot if so when sould i start?

im hoping to start right after x=mas on clearing the spot,,,i need to do more research on the types of food plots for the different types of soil to know when i need to start planting,,liming,,,soil testing and so on,,,but im looking forward to trying it,,,good luck to you with yours and post any info you might have,,,and results if you get time
