First off, no rifles allowed. Second, nice place to hunt. I used to hunt the October Mountain State forest in Becket/Washington. A lot of up and down walking, but a lot of land in between hunters. Also, with the amount of development in Becket the past few years, If you do get lost, you probably won't have to hike more than a couple of miles to find a road. You may not see the amount of deer you are used to, but you may find a real smasher. Good Luck.

Sperry,

As Mike said we are shotguns only in Mass. The antlerless system is also very different. You get 2 Antlered tags with your license. You have to apply for the antlerless permit lottery before July 16th for the zone you want to hunt. The antlerless permit is only good for that zone. You have to have an antlerless permit to kill an antlerless deer in any season.
