Yep - the 30 day clause is the disclaimer.

Food plots are legal in all states as far as I know.

If you really wanted to know - call the White-tail institute - I'll bet they are very sure on where there products are legal to plant!

It would be a little hard to hunt anywhere here in the Southeast without being near crops. There is a corn field or grass or grain fields everywhere. Then you have the thousands of bird feeders in the suburban yards. The deer are traveling all the time from fields and bird feeders. Also I witnessed many times deer standing on the sites where the State and local counties and townships store the salt for snowstorms. The deer love to lick on it.Is that a food plot??

Thanks for the replies guys. Sorry for taking so long to reply, computer problems.

I just didn't want to do something illegal and these stupid Pennsylvania laws are a little confussing. I think that I will get it in writting before I go hunting over it. I have an area where I figure the deer will be comming from, heck, my ladder stand is already on the major trail that leads from a thick hillside full of brush onto an old trolly line that leads into my yard where the plot would be planted.

Thanks guys, I'll let you know what I find out.

Hey guys,

I just got off the phone with the Game Commission. They said that hunting over a food plot is perfectly legal. They said that what the book means is that you can't throw corn out and hunt over that. The guy I talked to said that a food plot is considered as the same thing as a corn field. So, I am gonna e-mail a couple web-sites about what to plant, when, and how. Thanks guys.
