went out last night and saw a total of 6 bucks and took a shot at a small 10. i hit to hogh and my arrow only went in about an inch and a halg. lost what very little blood i found and did not recover arrow or deer. I couldnt sleep at all last night. i am thinking where i hit him he should survive. I HOPE.I got a buddy giving on last ditch effort this morning while i am at work and i am goin to try after work
Happened to my Dad once. He buried the broadhead in the shoulder blade of a mature buck. We never found it...followed it for days. I have heard that they will survive this. His arrow only went in an inch or so, like yours did. Keep hunting him, he is still running around I bet.
I went out looking for him today and i beleive i did see him. I actually spooked him up. he was bedded down and i didnt see any blood at all but at a quick glance it looked just like the deer i shot, so that makes me feel better
