Default Charles County Maryland. How's the hunting?

My fatherinlaw lives in Hughesville which I beleive is in Charles County. Anyway his buddy invited me to come down and hunt on his land this year. I looked into an out of state license and it was pretty steep at $130. Before i committ i was wondering if anybody new how the hunting was in this area?

Thanks.

Hunting can be good anywhere with the right spot and conditions. You will be in soybean and corn country.

My father used to have a farm in Hughsville, killed a few nice size does.
Saw a few good bucks taken by neighbors.

The area has seen some development not to mention the by-pass in the last few years.

That $130 is just if you are hunting with the rifle. If you plan to hunt with the bow or muzzleloader, you have to buy extra stamps at $25 a pop.

Ever heard of the Crutchfield Buck? Killed last year in Charles County. They've got some great deer from what I've heard.
