Default Cabelea's in CT opening

Higuys here is a little insider info........ The Cabelea's in East Hartford, CT will be having their unofficial opening on Oct 13. In the retail world that is referred to as a soft opening. Their official opening is Oct 19.

So if you want to beat the madhouse and check it out go anytime after Oct 12

I have been to the one in PA and it was nice to visit it, but honestly it is so much easier shopping from their catalog. Even with their regular shipping I usually get their stuff in 3 to 5 days at the most. I surely wouldn't fight the crowds to see the new store especially since it is just opening. Plus the store in PA didn't have anywhere near the amount of items that you will find in the catalog, not including non-muzzleloading firearms of course that they can't sell through the mail.

I too have been to the Hamburg PA store several times and I order from their catalog all the time but there are times when you really want to try things on or feel them.

Also, when I was in the PA store in August, they had their Full Draw blinds on sale with $20.00 off the catalog price. I was going to order it from the catalog just the week before but I said I'll wait and pick it up at the store when I'm there. If I had not gone to the store I would be out that $20. Oh yeah.....in the catalog if you bought the blind you got a free $29.99 stool with so I mentioned it to the cashier and BINGO I had my free stool too. DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THAT! Reason enough for me to make the 45 min drive to the store hard to resist a good sale price!

OK, but wouldn't one spend more than $20 in gas getting themselves from Connecticut to Pennsylvania? If you just happened to be in the area of a Cabela's store for something else it's one thing, but driving far just to get to a Cabela's store might cost you more than the shipping costs from a catalog.
