Default NY Conservationist Magazine Facts!

Here is my email and one and the response I received from the Editor of the NY Conservationist Magazine.

Hi,

My name is ******** . I was reading tonight in a forum that a recent newspaper article published a story that the Conservationist Magazine will no longer publish stories about hunting and fishing. Before I express my opinion I wish to know if this is a true story?

Thank you for your time
*******

The response from Dave Nelson, Editor.

Hi ***,

No, it's not true. There will always be a place in the Conservationist magazine for articles about hunting and fishing. If you are an outdoorsman, as I am, I believe you will like the October 2007 issue.

I'm glad to be able to count you among our family of readers.

Glad to see an answer. What a dissapointing decision if it went through. Thanks for the feedback. I e-mailed the Conservationist without a reply. Good hunting neighbor!

Thanks for getting to the bottom of this. I had a hard time believing that they would drop hunting and fishing articles in a magazine that is mostly supported by hunters and fisherman. False rumors seem to circulate quickly in the hunting world.

And you can be sure he's telling the truth, how?

Remember the "sportsmen" of this state endorsed antihunting zelot Pete Grannis to head the DEC and he's this guy's boss.

Sure he could be lying. But so could the guy who said that they won't be publishing anymore hunting and fishing articles. Hunters are really a funny bunch. They seem to know exactly what will happen before it ever happens except when it comes to finding and knowing where the deer will be! My suggestion is to wait and see. If you start seeing less of the articles you are interested in, then simply cancel it then.

That magazine wouldn't exist withoutoutdoorsmen that buy it with our license. I pay the extra 8 bucks to get that and the habitat stamp. I'll bet the majority of their readers are hunters and fishermen.
