Default for all hunters where the doe ratio is higher then the buck!

You are going out to hunt with your grunt tube and an estrus scentduring the rut. You only have the ability to bring one more "lure" item. If you could bring one other item what would you choose. Remember there are many more does then there are bucks in this area.

Of the choices listed I chose doe decoy, that usually gets the more dominant local doe going and her entourage generally follows. Given a preference I'll use a fawn bleat, it draws both sexes most of the time.

Also, shoot more does! It's one way to fill up the freezer.

The bleat can seems to always work for me. I've used a doe decoy and it only serves to p*** off the other does. They go into a rage, stomping and blowing at it.
My buddy uses a grunt tube and a buck decoy and has had great luck w/ those two.
I'll be trying it this year.

Well, that's not exactly what the DEC wants us to do since doe permits have been drastically reduced in much of the southeastern part of the state in the last few years. They apparently don't think we should be shooting too many.
