Kill, here is a list of public land near you. Check Washington and also Frederick County. I have hunted a few pieces of public land in Frederick and Montgomery counties with really good luck and a few NICE deer. If you were able to get a WV. license I would be able to show you spme good land out here, I am always looking for new hunting buddies... Good Luck.....I moved from Frederick 2 years ago this is how I know of these properties....http://www.dnr.state.md.us/huntersguide/publiclands.asp

hunt in Md..it's much better...yep...much better..no need to cross the river...plenty good hunting right there in Wash. Co....look up BigCountry on this forum,he's from over there.........

"outskirts of Baltimore".....you'd fit right in on Sleepy Creek, openning day of buck season... you'd probably know 2/3rds of the "hunters"(I'll use that term lightly)... they're from down that way... the other 1/3 is from Pa.....and they're proud of their does, spikes and fork-horns,cause that's all the time they get to grow...like the dude told me the last time I hunted up there for deer 15 years ago, after he killed an illegal doe..."when they're runnin'..who has time to look for horns"....I shook my head and left the woods.....true story.
guess where he told me he was from....Baltimore County

....good grief

Gambril State Park outside of Frederick has a pretty good population of both deer and hunters alike.

I live in Hagerstown and hunt 100% public land. Shoot me a PM and I will show you around a little. If you pass my "not an idiot hunter test" I will show you some good spots

I got it and responded. As for dove hunting with your kid I can't help you much. There are a couple plieces of public land that have some dove fields but they get hammered. I am in the process of trying to locate some private land to dove hunt on, I figured it may be easier to get on a property dove hunting than deer hunting.

Indian Springs always treated me good when I hunted out that way.
