Default West Virginia Bowhunters

anyone from West Virginia entering the HNI Bowhunting Contest this year??
if so, where are ya gonna hunt at?

I just entered and will be hunting Mercer, Boone, and Lincoln Co.
hopefully will score one for my team

I would but I can not seem tofind any property to hunt,and I dont really have the balls to go door to door and ask to hunt for either trading services or for a lease. LOL I know the worst thing they can say is NO, but I just cant bring myself to it...Good Luck Guy's and post up some NICE Buck's this season....

Fowlbuck,
Go see the people I told you about, the one in Leetown hates deer and kills them on permits all the time. The other will allow you to bowhunt if you ask I am fairly certain of that (Summitt Point).

I did hunt Shannondale a few times last year and I will a few times this year but I will hunt there early in the season due to it gets crazy during Gun season. And you are right there are some NICE bucks running around there. I almost got a shot on a sweet 9point there last season public like public land is known for othere hunters, a hunter came walking the same path he was cominig from...But Thanks for the input....

i grew up in in mason county hunted there all my life. will be huntin there some this year but most of my focus will be injackson co.oh.. hunting on public land for thefirst time.

22 series you ever hunt Chief Cornstalk? when i used to live in putnam co. i hunted over there a couple times. i never saw any bucks but i ran into two different guys dragging out 10pts. just wonderin if you've had any luck over there? it sounds like a war zone come gun season, i do know that haha

I'll be hunting my farm in Braxton county...

Saw a couple nice bucks last weekend. Hopefully I'll be able to stick one of them before the gun nuts take over...
