Default Ever hunt Voorhees State Park?

Hey did anyone here ever hunt vorhees state park? it's only a couple of minutes from my house and wondered if it's any good. i met a couple of guys you said they hunt it and got a couple of deer but i don't know, it has alot of people walking around there and all. also, you can only hunt certain parts of it. i don't know how much you can hunt tho.

Where is that? I live in a town called Voorhees but was unaware of a park there.

It's in Hunterdon County on Rt 513. I think it's in either Glen Gardner or Lebanon.

Your not talking about the horse farm between Voorhees and Cherry Hill are you just below Rt70.

No, it's on rt513 in hunterdon county. right across the street from Voorhees High School. Also across the road from Ken Lockwood Gorge.

I lived between Glen Gardner and Califon for about a year while I was workin in N.J. Thats been about 25 yrs ago.I never hunted there and don't recall anyone ever talkin about huntin there.If you find out anythin about it I'd sure like to hear about it.

yeah i've walked around there with my daughter. i stopped at the office and got a map and it really doesn't show the hunting area so good. i hunt up the road on rt513 and see guys coming out of the woods sometimes at voorhees. the back of the property is real close to my house so i was just wondering how it is for hunting.

Woj, If you are that close to the back of the property then you should hunt back there. You might have the chance at a good buck when all the other guys are walking around the front of the property. I always approach land from the opposite of the other hunters (if it is possible)and many times have taken deer this way.
You will never know if you don't try it.
