Elk Mountain Homestead in PA.??
Well. I just got asked today if I know where Elk Mountain Homestead is here in PA. It is supposed to be near Benezette, contains @ 245 acres, and is surrounded on two sides by Elk State Forest. Attrects 70,000 visitors a year. Guess I don't know as much about these old mountains as I thought I did.........this is a new one to me.
Anyone know exactly where it is? Directions? I'd like to see this. Also something about the RMEF and a Budweiser Clydesdale there????

it was in the outdoor news paper something bout rendel passed something for a big faclity for watching the elk for visitors or something i dunno

Well, I answered my own question.....Got on the net, and found out right away. It's on Winslow Hill Rd., outside of Benezette, PA. I remember a large RMEF sign near the top of the hill, and I think that is where it is.
It is sponsored by the RMEF, and a cabin can be rented. Rawley Cogan is now involved with it, also, I believe.
Just thought I'd better let you know........
