Now is when deer elicit a love-hate response. Snow still lies deep across much of the state, especially in the mountains and northern counties. Deer have been plodding through it for more than a month. Often the deer congregate around homes where they glean easy meals from shrubbery and landscape plantings. Rhododendron and laurel planted around many homes are shredded and stripped.

1. Deer don't have enough food for survival. It says deereat Rhody. Pa. is loaded with mountain laurels. More than enough to feed our deer herds thru the winter months.
2. Why are not dead deers being found being autopsy and just presume they starved to death from lack of food and no disease was involved?
3.Talks about fatal disease. This will relate to a post about to tag or not to tag. How many want to tag and drag a fatal diseased deer around in their vehicle?
