Default The PGC does listen!

We've had a couple of threads regarding issues that were on the agenda for todays PGC meeting.

Putting antlered deer hunting into the mentored youth program

Taking hunting hours to 1/2 hour before sunrise to 1/2 hour after sunset (an extra 1/2 hour during twilight)

expansion of antlerless hunting seasons in area 2B

All three were given preliminary approval today in spite of the fact that the PGC staff recommended against the first two.

I guess it can't be said that the commissioners dont listen. In the absence of public input, it would likely have been a rubber stamp on the staffs recommendations but apparently public comment had an effect.

Lets remember to send those letters before the April meeting so that these positive changes become final!

Great news for you guys up there

The wheels of progress turn ever so slowly when it comes to Fish & Game policy/law.

AJ, I think it could actually happen in the next few years. It's gaining quite a bit of momentum from what I'm hearing.

The time couldnt be any more ripe. Sunday hunting is the one change that might have the single largest effect in the efforts to stem the decline in license sales.

In other action, the Board proposed increasing the fees for DMAP permits from $6 for residents and $26 for nonresidents to $10 for residents and $35 for nonresidents.
