You got some good eating there.

There's just something different about using a flintlock to take a deer. Its like stepping back in time.

In many ways, the flintlock is the most challenging way to take a deer in PA and you did it on a day when all odds were against the thing even going off! It's gotta be a great feeling! Enjoy!

congrats. nice deer.. any deer with a flint is a good deer, considering it's just not pull the trigger and that's it.

Thanks for the kind words you guys. I'm quite pumped, this is the third year in a row I've taken a deer with my flintock (3rd in a row for archery as well, but thats a different story).

I loved the timing of him as well....I got to hunt all season long, and in the final waning moments of the season, when I was just sitting back and reflecting on the good times, his little head came popping out of the woods....was a great way to end my season.
