Way to go. Looks like SF is giving up some bruisers this season. What area were you in? Did you hear the spray and pray tail gunner? 8 shots in under 7 seconds. Unbelievable!

yea i did it was between 9:15 - 9:40 a.m. when i heard that we must have been close to the same spot or else there are two a**holes in there i think he was shooting at the buck my friend shot because they were real close to us and came right after the buck took off he missed with all shots there was only one shot in the buck and one shot in the doe when we found them 20 yards away ( i don't wan't to post the area on this board because there are already too many people hunting the spot this year and doing that would be asking for trouble we still have some tags left )

Another real nice deer, your friend and Rodsmith sure put down some nice deer. I took a small, but very nice symmetrical 6 a little before 7am in Sterling. A SINGLE shot from the 35 Whelen left him with only a few choices...steaks, cutlets, suasage...etc...

Rod
I did hear the 8 shot character...I usually try to get away from it all on the opener, and this year was no different. I leave very early and get in where I want ot be real early...also, there is not enough orange in the world for me during this time of year...

Interesting story, I saw my second set of fighting bucks that morning. Mine and a smaller one. The smaller one was really taken my guy to town, maybe it was because I had shot him about an hour earlier. I was with my father and brother and decided I would wait a while before going to dress him. The smaller buck came in, walked right up to him and started sparring...he gave up after a while thinking he was the man...very cool show...
