Default Is it just me?

Or do you think it's odd that I'm wearing my light/early season archery clothes and swatting away mosquitoes on 11/28/06 in Central NY? What the heck is going on?

Don't worry a change is coming. Hey maybe we'll egt some more flooding.

...STRONG WINDS POSSIBLE WITH THUNDERSTORMS ON FRIDAY...
A POTENT COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE REGION ON FRIDAY. THIS FRONT COULD BRING THUNDERSTORMS ALONG WITH A SHARP TEMPERATURE DROP.
THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE MOST LIKELY ALONG AND JUST AHEAD OF THE COLD FRONT FRIDAY AFTERNOON. DUE TO A VERY STRONG JET STREAM, ANY THUNDERSTORMS WHICH DEVELOP COULD PRODUCE VERY GUSTY WINDS. THERE IS ALSO THE POTENTIAL FOR HEAVY DOWN POURS WITH THUNDERSTORMS. DOWN POURS MAY CAUSE LOCALIZED FLOODING CONCERNS IN POOR DRAINAGE AREAS AND ALONG SMALL STREAMS.
GUSTY WINDS WILL CONTINUE FRIDAY NIGHT AS THE PRECIPITATION CHANGES FROM RAIN SHOWERS TO SNOW SHOWERS.
PEOPLE ARE ENCOURAGED

I saw that on the news this morning. Thursday night/Friday morning might be a good time to be in a stand.

I agree, this is one crazy November. Good for most folks but not for hunters. [:'(]

Now we see the temps may close to 70 on Thu and then snow is expected late Sun into Mon. Our (NH) firearm season ends Sun and Bow continues 'til Dec 15th.

We'll just have to give it he!! this last weekend.

Definetly weird weather. Never broke a sweet on opening day of gun season in MD before, good for some, Very bad for hunters. Heard onl;y a few shots, and normaly sounds like a war zone, on opening day. Hoping for cooler weather Saturday.

Since 2003, we've set new record high temps during the "rut" period (roughly Nov 1-20th) every year except 2004 - when it was windy every day. I take off this time every year and use up vacation days only to find out that it's going to be HOT again! Usually, I can count on temps returning to normal when I return to work.

Normally, our firearms season is cooler, but not this year. When I left the house yesterday afternoon it was mid 60's and I was sweating bullets installing steps and a stand in the thicket I went to. It was 50 this morning when I returned. I dedided not to go this afternnon since they were calling for upper 60's, and it's only 53 right now! Tomorrow, they're calling for 70's and I couldn't care less--I go back to work tonight anyway!
