hunted a spot in 2B..6am crunch crunch crunch..here he comes. 5yds away i can see him and his big rack gleaming in the starlight. whoa..more crunching?? 2 bucks walked around me all morning..grunting and milling around. i could easily dropped the biggun..but im better then that...broke light and the woods fell silent. what the heck? whered you go you big sucker?? my mauser is ready to shake hands. nowhere to be found. sat there bored out of my mind till 1045. 1045 crunch crunch crunch. holy chit! thats somethin you only see on tv! look at them horns! chit! im 20foot high in my summit viper and hes hard core right. i shoot right and cant pull off a left handed shot at that angle and hes in the only clearing and i cant stand up or move. moves into the trees..i stand up..i watched him slip through the trees over the hill. behind him i caught a glimps of another buck..not sure how big..wierd lookin sucker. tall straight up THICK antlers..couldnt count points or see what was up with him..i was worried about droppin the biggun. never happened. and hour later i called the crew on the radio..had them drive it out..NOTHING. they simply disappeared
.....i dogged the rest of the day. 3 drivers..about 10 sitters(mostly kids and girls etc..) i drove a kid his first deer..a doe..a big 6 was with her he didnt see. drove the drive leaders daughter a nice basket 6pt(shes a jr) and drove another guy a nice 14 inch 8pt...cant wait for friday and sat to be back home....college gets in the way of everything
