Default PA Rifle Thread

The opener is Monday. Let us know how you do. I'm hunting Bradford county til wednesday with my son, then coming home and hunting Pike county the rest of the week. I just hope my son gets a buck. I can't wait to leave tomorrow. Good luck everyone.

i keep seeing people get deer season confused with rifle season....it's not rifle season just deer season or we wouldn't be able to use our archery equipment in it....................bob

Lokks like the opener is going to be real warm. It isn't going to help the harvest numbers.

went out with video cam to sit with dad, he took a 5 point with a missing front leg (he normally wont shoot a small buck but sinceit was missing his leg he decide to take him)

Hunted Forest county with my two sons 14 and 17. The youngest took a 5 point and the older one shot a doe. All in all a great day!

My dad and I both shot does in archery, so it only figures we would see does today...9 for me, 4 for him. My grandpa saw 5-6 does and a buck, but no shots.

My uncle on the other hand, shot a 9pt....20" inside spread, 160# field dressed (no fat, easily over #200 if shot before the rut), basesso big you can't get your hand around them, botfly holes and gnarly points.....MASSIVE....scars to hell and back.....truly a one of a kind buck....needless to say, he's getting it mounted.

I'll try to get a pic up here in a day or two....EDIT...pic now on pg. 2
