Default Be careful hunting on windy days

I heard a guy in Carrol County, MD died while hunting last week. Apparantly, he was in a tree during the high windsanda limb fell on him and killed him.

I have often wondered about that while on stand. I have had limbs come close. Common sense should tell us not to set up under an obviously dead limb, but sometimes that isn't 100%.

Such a tragedy.

no, its nasty here in pa..this is why i like a ladder stand over climbing stand..big trees dont move as much in wind as smaller trees do but they do have bigger limbs..i find biggest oak to put my ladder stand against..

i saw hunters last year 50 yds from my treestand swaying in wind,back/forth..i bet they got sea sick..

how you can shoot with tree going back/forth in wind is unreal to me..
