Default NY Buck...First ever!

Got my first buck tonight (first deer in general). Ended up being a 7 point just inside the ears. What an awesome experience! Got him with my new Remington BDL in 30.06. Dropped in its tracks. I think I'm hooked. Good hunting!

It's a joke that you even mention that...I saw two other bucks while I was there and there are many, many more around. Seen many aroundthe areas I've huntedthis season.BIG, hard bodied deer around these parts. Thanks to those with words of encouragement!

Nice going Troutman 10. I got one opening day muzzle loading but haven't seen a deer since. It's 3:10 am and I'm itchin to get out there in 6G now that you and others have seen some signs of rut activity.
Should be interesting with snow on the ground!
