Default MISSED A MONSTER

Saw first buck of the season. HUGE 8 or 10 point. Came in at 28 yards. Broadside and stopped right in my shooting lane. I shot right over his back. I`m sick to my stomach. I`ve yet to see this guy on my trail cam so I was excited when he came in. Can`t wait till gun season.

PS don`t look up from your sightes just as you are releasing. WHAT A DUMB BUTT I AM.

Well I missed before b/c I hit a twig so I looked up to see if there was any twigs. DUMB DUMB DUMB. Live and learn. The good thing is it was raining out and the buck jumped about 10 yards looked around and then walked away slowly. That was the hard part watching him leave and couldn`t do a thing about it.[][&o]

I feel your pain. That is the worst feeling in the entire world. Better to have missed than to have wounded him though. Hopefully you get another poke at him.
I misseda nice 8 point 3 seasons ago and lost sleep over it for weeks. I wound up getting him the second to last day of muzzleloader season. Still my biggest buck to date.

i missed a nice buck on saturday morning, he ran across a field and out of sight and across road. About a minute later there were two shots right where he was headed, and my grandfather saw a truck and a atv going into the field over there.

i wouldnt mind missing him so much if i thought there was a chance i would get to see him.
