Default Early Fall in WNY

I don't mean season dates...I'm talking about advanced leaf color change, and earlier than normal leaf drop/fall.

News stations arealready stating Letchworth State Park is in the "Changing" category. I noticed my property is ahead of the season with many, many leaves falling. That's going to make me sick, as most of my early-season sites count on some good leaf cover.

Everything seems to be happening a little quicker this year, I wonder if it's due to all the rain we have had

Yea, last year we had some leaves left in November. One benefit is not only can the deer see you easier but...you can see them coming alot better and farther away. Just like football..everybody's playing on the same field.

I noticed it also, not so much in New Jersey where I mostly hunt, but definately in NY. I kinda like it though, especially if it brings colder than normal weather along with it.

I had to switch my vacation at work for a chance at a new job. I'm glad the leaves are falling early since I'll have the first week off of bow season.
