Default RATTLED IN A LOVE SICK BUCK TONIGHT, HE IS IN PAIN

Nope, I didn't shoot him. He was just a spike. I hit my can call about 6 times, then, did some rutting grunts and hit the antlers. About 45 seconds later, this spike comes running right towards me when *THUNK*, the stupid buck was in such a hurry that he didn't see a low hanging tree limb and he ran right into it. It knocked him off his feet. He got up, shook it off, then ran to the edge of the pond when guess what, he slipped on the bank and fell into the pond. It was the funniest thing that I have ever seen. He eventually ran away when he heard me laughing. I have NEVER seen a deer sooooooo love sick in my entire life. He just wanted to be LOVED!!!! haha

Seriously though, the rut is in full swing here in Pennsylvania now. Three deer were hit right beside my land. A doe was hit last night sometime between 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. I went out to Wal-Mart and on the way back I noticed the doe laying dead. Well, this morning at 6:30, my dad saw another deer laying dead about 20 yards from the doe. It got hit sometime between 11:00 p.m. last night and 6:30 this morning. He is a small 9 point. He is maybe 10 inches wide, fairly high rack, and his points are all around 3-4 inches. He is a main frame 8 point, but, he has a weird "drop-tine" comming right off the bottom of the base of his antler. It is only about 1 1/2" but, it looked cool.

Today, my grandfather was talking to one of the guys that lives on the other side of our property and he said that a MONSTEROUS buck was hit around noon today. The deer didn't die, and the Game Commission was called. I guess the Game Commission called and picked it up. I don't know anything about this deer other than the one man said it was the biggest buck he ever saw.

It stinks that this happens, but, it is like this every fall. It is something that I have gotten use too.

Well, I will update you guys if I find out anything more about this monsterous buck or if any more deer are found dead on or around my property.

Good Luck This Season: Buck Magnet

Buckmagnet, that is funny. I was laughing just reading about that spike. Really too bad about the deer being hit by vehicles. I've had much of the samething happen every year on the main road near my dads land, including a huge 10pt last year we were after. Another guy hit a decent 6pt last year also, and gutted the darn thing right in their yard leaving the guts behind!! It happens, and nothing you can do, accept maybe get some of the meat.

It was funny guys. Its amazing how much a buck wants a doe. Well, I am leaving in a couple minutes to see if a big buck will do the same thing haha.
