Default best scent 11/17-11/23 moosehead ME

Hey guys got a hunting trip to the moosehead region of ME the 17th-23rd of Nov. I've heard alot about useing the right scent for the particular time of the rut. Does anyone now which would be best for the period mentioned. I have some doe estress, but that might not be the best thing to use. any help would be appreciated

Thanks for the doe in heat info, and no we're not going with a outfitter just a few friends renting a camp up there. the last 2 years we rented a shanty in rangley ME no running water. but on the same road there were a few very fine hunting lodges. at the store/deer check station at the bottom of the hill they had the postings of deer checked in. they were at least 2 over 300 and many over 250lbs. We didnt see any that big, actualy the only deer I had a sight on was a doe that was at least 200lbs. shame though no doe permit. good luck though and I'm sure you 'll get some great recommendations.

It's the end of the peak in that area usually runs around the 11th till the 18th. early snow this year has started the bucks in full activity. Doe estrus will work well as others will be still comming in.
We had snow for opening day and the following tuesday and the bucks were out in force. I took an Average 7pt. 167lbs. also taken was a nice 10 pt 193 Lbs. and several 8pt. Acourding to the butcher he has done 89 deer since opening day with 60 being bucks. Biggest one 252 12 pt. and a Nice non typical 14 pt 227.

Most of my clients have tag or had the oppertunity at soe nice bucks this year as well there are plenty of deer this year. Most doe permits issued in several years and people just aren't needing to use them cause of all the bucks this year. Earlier this summer I would go scouting at night and see 25-40 bucks for every 100 deer. would average 100-120 deer in four hours of spot scouting. I live and guide ( when I can) in the western central foot hills.
Shoot straight and good luck PMG
