MA Bear Season

MA bear started yesterday. I will not get out until next week, but my buddy went out and killed a very large sow yesterday afternoon w/ the bow. He is checking her in this morning... He's guessing her to be about 225lb dressed.
Another buddy brought his girlfriend out and she shot her first with the rifle. It dressed 170lb.
A couple other friends will be out over the next couple of days. I will let you know how they do. I will try and sneak out someday next week.
I'll try and get some pics on soon too.

congrats to your friends bear western ma. i went out , but wasnt as lucky iam going to try to hunt mon, morning cause sat. ill be out on the ocean for alittle tuna fishing

i west out on opening day tuesday with a muzzleloader and dind see to much i was out in south hampton and i thought i saw signs of bear but i think i was mistaken i am all new to this where else is a good place in our state to bear hunt to be honest with all of you i havent seen one in the wild ever.
