Default Small Food Plots in Mass. ?

Iam here in S.E Mass and hunt some state forest land close to the house. I was thinking of using one of the no-till seed mixes (such as hot spot by Biologic) to put in some random small food plots (200-400 sq. ft.)close to my stand areas. the hot spot mix germinates in a week and would be in great shape for this coming fall. I am not looking to bait, but just trying to get more deer passing through the areas I am using. My question is have any of you tried this in the past in Mass. and did the deer respond to it. Any thoughts would be appreciated. thanks

Hhmm One thought I have is you may run afoul of land use policy if your planting on state land. I don't know if mass has any rules about that though.

I do not beleive that is legal on state lands. This is a question for the MA DEC. But I suspect the answer is that you cannot do that.

Would it work?? I would think so. We do plots on our privateland that borders state land and it brings in deer like a magnet.
