The expected punishment seems a little lenient doesn't it? Maybe if they dig a little deeper a motive could be found. Why in the world would you shoot up into a tree anyway? I guess the guy could have looked like a roosted turkey??? I think not.

I would be willing to bet the guy was pissed off because the other guy was hunting near him. What a real shame. He should get a full sentence and never be allowed to get a hunting license again.

It reads like premedicated murder to me, not involintary manslauter, but they probably know that they couldn't get a conviction of premed.
