Default Any NJ Hunters here?

I grew up near Wharton State Forest and still get home once a month to visit, and was curious if anyone goes hunting around that area. All my time "growing up" was spent fishing, but I now hunt also and would be interested in getting into it on Saturday mornings back home, too. I hunt small and large game with rifle, pistol and shotgun.

back in the day i use to hunt the cranbury dikes in the big woods of wharton. seen and missed quite a few grouse too! i would say try throwing ome corn out and see if what happens. they get deep down in those swamps and dont move much unless pushed.

I hunt in Double Trouble State Park all bow season. I love the area and there's tons of deer there, but they are fairly small. I always bring a map when I go though, being so flat, I know I could get lost there.
