NY deer hunters will rifles be legal in steuben this year?

just wondering if anyone has heard if the bill will be passed this year or next, or at all. I need a good reason to go gun shopping

The latest i heard was that it will not be a go for this year but possibly next!

I've been watching Chautaqua Co. And its irritating. they have had the bills in for a couple years now and have still not bothered to vote.

None of the rifle zone bills passed. The zones that were added in 2005 remain but no new counties were added this year. I'm sure the sponsors of the bills will try again next year but for now it"™s the same as 2005. See the link below for the DEC legal implement map.

Funny thing is I didn't see many guys with rifles on the state land inOtsego County where I spend opening day each year. Are guys really making 100 yard+ shots anyplace here in NYS.
