Default Yote Attacks Dog around Milford area

Heard a short blip couple days ago on radio about a dog that was attacked by a Coyote around the Milford area?? The Dog lived to see another day.

Do you think the F&W boys got a few phone calls?

coyotesseem to beeverywhere now so this is no surprise and multiple coyotes will definately attack even large dogs. There are some successful coyote hunting tactics that implement dogs who act like they're injuredin order tolure coyotes into the shooter.

Domestic dogs and cats are easy prey for yotes...usually but I doubt it will open many eyes.

I saw that in the newspaper. The woman was walking her dog on a leash and if a neighbour hadn't come running the small dog, some sort of lap dog, forgot the breed, would have met it's fate. However the dog lived and was treated for puncture wounds.

Rick,
Where in Milford did they say it happened? I heard the dog was 11 yrs old?

Some yrs ago there was a road killed Yote around the Griffith or Blairs pond area, about a mile from my house as the crow flys.F&W has the pelt. Also been spotted some yrs ago around Prime Hook.

I s/w with someone in F&W that supposes they came from up north(Pa). Suspected they followed the river and marshes to southern part of state.
Love to get one in my gun sites or at least a picture on my trail cam someday.

I used to see those rascals run in packs at sunset out in the remote mountains in S. CA when I was stationed out there in early 70's.They can do some serious damage to Deer numbers. I popped a few with my old 30-06.
