Default 300 pound deer

I live in NJ and my grandmom had a birthday party this weekend, and my dad cuz from PA came down. he said he kill 8 deer a 6 and a 8 point. the 8 point was 300 pounds. i think that is huge for a deer but is it a monster for a PA buck?

Were they hunting in PA? Because if they were, he wasn't allowed to kill 2 bucks. You are only allowed to take 1 buck per year. Did you cousin kill the 6 pt then? Also where were they hunting because the average person can't get that many tags unless they were hunting in SRA's.

It looks like dad and cuz both shot one. The biggest I've seen at my camp is 236lbs. However, I have seen a 300lber that a neighbor shot. It was a 10 pointer. Wide, thick rack but the body was much more impressive than the rack. You need about 3000 continuous acres, though - and lots of beech nuts.
