Default NY - Off road vehicle question?

I just got a Honda Big Red 3 wheeler given to me by my grandfather. I know I have to register it to run it on the ice or public land but the DMV only states ATV's online for registration purposes. Can I register this?? Any body have any expierance with this?

Actually SPIKEHORN11, you are required by law to register it even if you only run it on you own private land. I don't think its right but that's the law.

Yeah, Sylvan is right. It is a crap law, but generate revenue for the state. Although, they claim safety concerns.

I think if it is on your own property 100% of the time, or not using public porperty/roads/etc then it shouldnt be required.
