Southern tier bear opens today .Will it be worth it or do you think that they are all sleeping for the winter already ?

johnl,

My dad and I hunted Catt. county the first day of rifle this year. One of the hotel workers in Salamanca, told us that his neighbor had to shoot one that charged him on the first day of deer season. Shot it 5 times i guess, he said it weighed over 400. Game commission and state cops were there he said, so i'm guessing it went public.
