rut in CT?

Just wondering if the rut has started in CT yet and if anyone has had much luck yet this season. I got shotgun A season this year...going out saturday with my father...CAN'T WAIT!

Not sure about the rut but this morning i got a small buck and he was by himself.

Didnt weigh him but i think maybe 130.Got him in East Lyme at 8:00 am

Last week I had a doe walk by out of bow range. About two minutes later a buck came walking in her trail sniffing around. He then turmed around and left. It seemed as though he might have been checking her out to see if she was hot. I'm pretty new to hunting so I'm not exactly sure what this means in terms of stage of the rut but I sure was excited to at leastsee some deer. This was in zone 2 in the northwest part of the state.

Nice buck Artie!! Jersey opens for Muzzleloader after Thanksgiving but I may try the bow once more. Only been our 4 times so far and nothing much on my club so far.
