yee haaww, I can't wait to hear the numerous slug gun shots ringing through the woods. Hunters roaming every where. Deer running about being pushed all over, all day long. Yup, my favorite time of the year, and to think I've been sitting in a treestand since 9/27 trying to pattern a deer for a nice 20yd bowshot, watching them feed, bucks chasing doe about. Sorry, but I get depressed come shotgun opener, its not the same to me!!!

I'm also really not psyched about this years gun opener. Just doesn't do it for me anymore the bow is my passion now.

I am getting psyched for the last two days of bow, this front should have them moving. Taking my son out of school tomorrow to hunt.

How about this?... My 3 yr old son has a take Dad to nursery school day on Saturday the 19th!!

I am in shock!!! Please advise! My wife thinks I should go with him to school. This will break my 27 streak of hunting the opener with my Dad!

I would not go. No way no how. Your son won't remember you didn't go to his nursery school day. Your father will only be around for so long.

Have your wife take him to chucky cheese or something go hunting with your father.

Just asked my wife if she would even tell me about it. Her answer "can't think of any reason I would, cause you'de hunting."

I missed my first opener 2 years ago because I had to work and couldn't get off. I am also scheduled to work this years gun opener -but I'm hoping to be able to take off a few hours early to get home and be there by first light.

I also don't care for the gun seasons. I mainly want to hunt because my youngest son wants me to take him AND I know that bucks will be pushed into my thicket. I'll carry my bow only and my son will have the shotgun.
