Default Who says NJ does'nt have big deer

My buddy shot a 12 pointer that dressed out at 215 pounds and green scored 175, in Monmouth County over the hot weekend. I'll see if he does'nt mind I'll put up a picture.

I do believe the hype about Monmouth Cty! I hunted down in Colts Neck from a stand that a guy shot a deer that grossed 155 BC the year before and I have seen pics of the monsters that lurk on those private horse farms. I guess with the limited hunting pressure and good food, those deer have room to grow big. Check out where the big deer are coming from in NJ and it's NOT the traditional deer counties of Sussex/Hunterdon/Warren but the middle and southern part of the state.

Oh--did I mention that Bergen County has some monsters?

See ya,
Bob

Very nice.
I live in Hunterdon county, but I also am fortunate enough to have a couple of spots that I can hunt in Monmouth county and I agree, for big bucks Monmouth county really does take the cake in NJ. In the last 20 years of hunting, every BIG buck that my friends and I have taken has come from Monmouth. Too bad though that Monmouth has lost so much prime habitat to development, hopefully the little land that's left there will remain.
