Default So Much for Warm Weather and High Winds

Living In Rochester,NY....I say the deer are in Rut! For 20 years I thought warm weather and high winds would not be good hunting conditions. Last evening hunt I saw 3 doe and a Buck chasing them. Today, with 19 mile per hour winds, with gusts to 25, and a temp of 65 degrees. I started hunting at 2:20pm..at 2:35pm a buck came out and put his nose right on the tinks gel I had put out and got a 6pt.
So much for the time of day, the temp and the wind theory!

Dont miss the rut..I say its here or very near!!
Good luck Hunting

Default RE: So Much for Warm Weather and High Winds

the seeking phase is defenitly on. the last 3-4 days i have seen bucks out in the open at all times of the day. with there nose to the ground like a bird dog. def sign there looking for that first hot doe.
