Eldred Preserve

Hey fellow hunters!!!!! I have a question for all of ya..... Has anyone ever hunted Eldred Preserve? Eldred Preserve is in Sullivan County New York. It says on the website it has 600 acres and is $500.00 a year to hunt it. I know they used to pull some nice deer out of there about 5 years ago, but havent heard anything lately. Hopefully someone knows about this land and can give me some feedback. I might try it out this year depending how many of my fathers friends and some family members are hunting my land. It isnt far from my house upstate, maybe 10 - 15 min away. Well thanks for the feedback...............

how far is the preserve from wartboro???? my buddy just got a house there and that sounds interesting

ive never hunted the eldred preserve but have ridden quads on organized rides on their land and it looks like it would be great hunting also , djbad i think the town you are reffering to is wurtsboro if so it would be about 30 to 40 min. drive between the two good luck

Is that the same place that is the trout reserve? If so, I fished there when I was a kid, but I have never hunted there.

question.. why does it cost 500 to hunt state land.. sounds fishy to me.

Been hunting the Preserve 3 years now along with 3 of my friends. The land is privately owned, not State land. I dont know if there still is, but when I first tried to join they put me on a waiting list. Took a year to get in.I believe spots only open up as guys drop out. I have not personally seen big deer, but my buddy has cam pics of nice deer and a bunch of bear also.
